Terms of use

The deal
revu reads the review figures Etsy publishes about a shop and emails you when they move or are about to. Using the site means accepting this page. It is free, and there is nothing to cancel beyond closing the account.
What you are responsible for
- Watching shops you have a reason to watch. Five per account, which is sized for your own shops rather than a survey of a category.
- The decisions you make after reading a date here. Read how wrong this can be first; the forecast is a prediction, and it switches itself off when it cannot be trusted.
- Not automating against this site and not trying to make it read Etsy faster than the daily pass.
What is not promised
- That a predicted date is right. Etsy does not publish where the twelve-month boundary falls, and a date here can be a day out.
- That the pass always runs. Etsy's API can be slow, rate-limited, or down; when it is, the read is skipped and tried again the next morning.
- That every email arrives. Mail gets delayed and filtered. The panels are the record; the email is a courtesy.
- That the service continues. It is free and run by one person. If it ends you will be told by email before the data is deleted.
Provided as-is, with no warranty. Liability is limited to what you paid, which is nothing.
Etsy
revu reads Etsy's public API under Etsy's API Terms of Use, with an application key and no OAuth. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or certified by Etsy, Inc., and "Etsy" is their trademark. Reviews belong to the people who wrote them. Etsy can change or withdraw the API at any time, which would end this service.
Ending it
Close the account from the account page and everything is erased on the spot. Accounts that abuse the service or the API may be closed without notice.
